When it comes to finding the perfect accessories to match your wedding dress there are a few things you really need to know.

1. Never underestimate the power of perfect accessories!

this is one many brides do! your wedding accessories can work to enhance your features, draw attention to or away from certain areas and make you feel a million dollars.

2. Never be pressurised into choosing the first pieces you are shown!

Many Bridal shops will try to put on the little extras to go with your wedding dress there and then, but before you jump in with “add it in!” I urge you to really think about it and be sure. More than likely if there are the perfect accessories, then they will still be available when you go back for your fitting. Many brides are bringing me their accessories to adjust as once they got them home and had hair trials etc they were unhappy and didn’t know what else to do!

3. Buy with long term in mind!

Accessories should be versatile and be able to be worn again and again after your wedding, so when choosing them make sure they are something you can and will wear again. We also offer to make headpieces into jewellery after the big day too!

We make the most amazing tiaras, in fact Jenni prides herself on her headdresses, however we have spotted over the last few months a few cringeworthy pieces so we thought we’d share with you our top tips on what to look for when choosing a tiara.

1. Finish – the tiara should look neat and tidy with no wires sticking out, no loose adornments and no glue showing.

2. Comfort – It should feel comfortable to wear, not tight or pinch, bear in mind you will be wearing it for a whole day!

3. Style – the tiara should be well balanced, eg if it is symmetrical make sure it looks it..

3. It will make sure your best friend who is your bridesmaid will be your BFF (as my daughter would say)

So yesterday I gave 5 reasons why you should consider mismatched bridesmaids and today I am going to share my 5 top tips to make sure your bridesmaids look amazing and stylish.

1. Decide on your palette! Choose your colour and give all bridesmaids a swatch.

2. Decide whether you want them to have the same colour in different shades or different colours same style or different dresses same colour

3. Think about the details, now this is where the matching starts, order matching bouquets and if you like order matching shoes.

4. Choose the accessories, again you can choose, matching or different, it is up to you, I like the idea of them complementing each other, yet being individual to the bride.

Mismatched is the new “co-ordinated” for bridesmaids.

I don’t know about you but I always find wearing the same as someone else a little odd, I suppose it brings back memories of childhood when my mother insisted on me wearing the same as my sister and taking lots of photos! You know what I mean. I totally get why it is easy to choose one dress and stick your bridesmaids in it, but I just want to give you a few good reasons why you should perhaps have rethink?

1. Having a range of colour tones in similar shades makes your wedding look super stylish and trendy

2. Your bridesmaids can choose dresses they love that will flatter them, suit their personalities & most importantly wear again.

3. You can save money, because she is buying a dress for the future, so will probably be happy to spend a bit more on it!

4. Your Bridesmaids will think how cool you are for not putting her in matching outfits, and being a terrible twin!

5. Your wedding will be unique, it will make great photos and be the best talking point ever!
